About
Red Ochre Studio is a home studio located in the Southern Beaches of lutruwita/Tasmania.
It is run by a mother & daughter ceramicist team, Ochre & Teffany.
At Red Ochre Studio we teach weekly hand building classes, host weekend workshops and also run private events and classes.
We make a range of both sculptural and functional work and are open to commission work.
Clay Classes
8 week term - Starting on the 29th of April
Wednesday 6:30-8:30pm
Price includes all guidance, materials & firing.
It will also give you access to our studio during our weekly open hours ($10/session or free as a catch up for missed class)
Working with your hands & clay is good for you! It calms the mind and soothes the body. Come and learn hand building at our cosy home studio. Each week we demonstrate a different technique for you to learn, or come inspired with your own ideas! Each class is intimate so everybody gets lots of 1:1 and guidance. Suitable for total beginners or those with some experience!

Please note that mums & bubs is not a formal clay class, this is an opportunity for you to have some self directed creative time with your baby
If you are part of a mums group and would like to do an organised activity like taking your babies footprint please get in touch
Come and learn to make things with clay! We will make all sorts of clay objects, from sculptures to functional things you can use. learn how paint and glaze your work and take it home at the end of term
